On December 1, 2011 in Zhytomyr took place the workshop-training “The Role of City Branding in the Epoch of Changes: European Experience for Ukraine”. Organizers of the event were: Institute of Society Transformation (Kyiv) and Zhytomyr Regional Branch of Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine. The workshop-training was carried out in cooperation with Zhytomyr State Ivan Franko University and with the support of the Embassy of Netherlands in Ukraine.

Lately the Kremlin strengthened its ambitions into a global leadership. Statements sounded repeatedly that Russia should revive itself as a center of Eurasian Union. If analyze economic power of Russia and its economic indicators impartially, it is possible to draw a conclusion Russian Federation  is an extraordinarily backward country in measures of  economic welfare and technological competitiveness. No doubt, it belongs to the countries of the third world.

On November 4, 2011 the workshop-training “The Role of City Branding in the Epoch of Changes: European Experience for Ukraine” took place in Alushta. Organizers of the event are: Institute of Society Transformation (Kyiv), Crimea Republican Regional Branch of Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine. The workshop-training was carried in cooperation with Alushta City Council and with the support of the Embassy of Netherlands in Ukraine.

Today during the action of protest a confrontation occurred between Chornobyl veterans and “BERKUT” officers. One demonstrator suffered as a result of the confrontation. For the time being the victim is unconscious, his health condition is unknown.

On October 19, 2011 in Rivne Institute of Society Transformation with the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources carried out the youth debate "World faced new security challenges. How to respond them?" The debates were organized with the support of NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine. Opinion-poll "New security challenges" was held among the participants of the debate as well.

On September 29, 2011 in Kherson Institute of Society Transformation (Kyiv) with the Kherson Academy of Continuous Education carried out the youth debate: "Which model of national security is the most effective for Ukraine"? The debate was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine. The aim of the debate was conducting of interactive discussion about possible models of ensuring of national security for Ukraine : non-block model; NATO membership; Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) membership; the European Security model (in the framework of the Russian Initiative).

On September 15, 2011 in Poltava Institute of Society Transformation with Poltava University of Economics and Trade carried out the youth debate "World faced new security challenges. How to respond them?" The debate was organized with the support of NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine. Student youth of higher educational establishments in Poltava discussed about challenges to global security and role of Ukraine in the process of their overcoming.

On May 17, 2011 Institute of Society Transformation with Volyn Regional Branch of Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine carryed out the informational-awareness workshop “Choice of security model in the context of national interests of Ukraine”. The event was organized in cooperation with Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Volyn Regional Council, Volyn Regional State Administration, Lutsk City Council with the support of Friedrich Naumann Foundation For Freedom.

On April 27, 2011 in Kheson took place the workshop-training “European and Euro-Atlantic Partnership in the Context of National Interests of Ukraine Providing”. Organizers of the event: Institute of Society Transformation (Kyiv), Kherson Regional Branch of Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, South Regional Department of Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union, South-Ukrainian Regional Institute of After-graduation Pedagogical Education. The workshop-training was carried in cooperation with Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kherson Regional State Administration, Kreson Regional Council, Kherson City Council with the support of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Belgium, the Embassy of Belgium in Ukraine.
