January 15, 2010 in Kiev was held the briefing of the Members of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, Parliamentary Assembly OSCE and Parliamentary Assembly of NATO which will be observers during the election of the President of Ukraine of January 17, 2010.
During the briefing the speech went about political outlines of pre-election campaign, electoral procedure and methodology, electoral legislation of Ukraine. The participants of the briefing also have communicated to Presidential candidates, representatives of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, public organizations and mass media.
During the event were distributed of the Appeal of All-Ukrainian National Assembly of the Leaders of Local Communities and Public Organizations to the members of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe concerning assistance in realization of monitoring of execution of the PACE Resolution „Functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine” ¹1549 (2007) conditions by Ukraine.

Let me state my respect and on behalf of All-Ukrainian National Assembly of the Leaders of Local Communities and Public Organizations appeal to You with the request to raise a concern of execution of the PACE Resolution „Functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine” ¹1549 (2007) conditions by Ukraine.
The Resolution was accepted three years ago, but its requirements are still unfulfilled.
The Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and its Member Mrs. Renate Wohlwend doesn’t make monitoring of the execution of the mentioned Resolution conditions.
We address to You with the request to encourage arrangement of Ukraine electoral system and legislation in accordance to requisitions of the PACE Resolution ¹ 1549 (2007).
